I think I was born an artist. Sometimes I have fulfilled that calling, and sometimes I have not, but lately I have been devoting more time to my art.

I’ve dabbled in acrylics, watercolours, and oils, but my heart is drawn to pastels. Their bright stirring colours, their immediacy, and their ease of use have made them a favourite. When my kids were little pastels were easy to pack and didn’t require any extra equipment…just a pad of paper and I was ready to go. Now, as an older person I appreciate their portability just as much!
